A sprawling dynamic city, Kingston, the center of cultural activities teems with well developed diversities and wonders.
Kingston’s character is one of exuberance and gusto, embodying as it does all the diversity and dynamism of Jamaican lifestyles.
Kingston, a symphony of redefined pleasures; a city of endless beginnings, where sunshine and sunset perform spectacularly on schedule.
Montego Bay
The name “MoBay” has a romantic ring to it. Montego Bay is a memorable tourist paradise located on the north-western side of Jamaica.
Jamaica's vacation hub flows over with things to do and places to go, on shore, in the water or beneath it. Shop for a carving, a caftan or a camera. Try "jerk" barbecue with a Red Stripe Beer, or an elegant candlelit dinner on a seaside verandah. Play golf on a championship course and tennis on a hilltop. Sample our beaches by day, and don't miss the beach parties at night. Leave town for an hour or two and you can raft on a river, picnic on a plantation, explore a haunted mansion, or feed
honey to a tiny hummingbird. In some of our favorite activities you're bound to make new friends; with others you may find the tranquility you'd almost forgotten. Montego Bay's inns cater to all these choices. You can be close to the beach, the boutique and the bistro, or high above town in a room with a view that cries out for a camera. You can walk out to scuba dive or stroll hand-in-hand in a garden.
Ocho Rios
Walk inside a waterfall and listen to a symphony composed by nature…Ocho Rios, the darling of Jamaica’s resorts is a world of new beginnings.
Runaway Bay, they say, was where Spanish forces left in a hurry when the British arrived in 1655. Today's visitors run away to the area for relaxed living, great diving, excellent golf and uncrowded beaches. Ocho Rios, a few miles east, spells glorious gardens and waterfalls (including Dunn's River Falls) to visitors. Beaches of all sizes and shapes are one choice; plantations to tour are another. At the heart of the area is a lively harbor town, with shopping by day, discos
by night, and restaurants on par with any in Jamaica. (Try Rasta Pasta, it's Jamaican/Italian gourmet.)
Just down the coast, Ian Fleming dreamed up James Bond and his adventures. Noel Coward asked to be buried at his mountaintop home; you can visit and understand why. But you can also chat with a real live artist at Harmony Hall's gingerbread gallery and catch a rising reggae star in a lively seaside pub.
Negril
Negril is a resort located on the south-western end of Jamaica. It is a resort area, redefined – a special paradise unlike any other in the Caribbean.
Negril is Jamaica's symbol for being as laidback or lively as you wish, but lovely whatever your mood. Seven miles of unbroken white sand beach, blue waters, offshore reefs, and lush greenery were first discovered by young visitors who stayed with villagers or camped by the sea.
Today there are many more choices - but you still catch the spirit best in small accommodations on the beach, on the seaside cliffs or in gardens across the road. You can jog or learn yoga, sail or scuba - but you're equally free just to lie in the sand and buy fresh fruit juice from a passing vendor.
Nights bring the chance to sample organic Ital cuisine (Rastafarian and delicious) or a traditional meal, and perhaps drop by a live reggae concert. But there's no escaping the early evening ritual when the sun plunges into the violet sea, somewhere between you and infinity.
